Fine by me. However, since I think it may take some time to complete this feature, I'd focus on making a release before April-May, so that we show users that Thrift is making progress, we haven't done a release since the project entered incubation. Once we had made a new release, we should definitely revamp the IDL and the compiler, possibly turning it into a multipass one so that it may support some missing features in the future (recursive structures come to mind, stricter validation, etc.).
