I noticed that xfdesktop4 and thunar behaved differently in this case and asked what I should implement, see http://www.mail-archive.com/thunar-dev@xfce.org/msg03504.html and Brian's reply. Changing both to show "Eject" _and_ "Unmount" is easy, though.
