Luke, When Microsoft started changing hotmail, they would put a startup notice message that they wanted view at least once. You had to initially log in to your webmail account online and check the don't show notice again box in order to get the webmail extension to work. They posted this message several times which caused many users headaches. It may have very well been your problem too. Changing any of the settings in the Tunderbird Webmail hotmail extension would not work until this was done.
