The way the extension works for large Hotmail attachments in CPU/
memory intensive and may (depending in your system) require more time
than the default in Thunderbird.

The timeout is in Thunderbird (not the extension) so in Thunderbird >
Options > Advanced > Network & Disk Space

I have the timeout set to 300 seconds.  See if that helps you.
