Yes, i also believe that the problem may not be related to that, but
for now is the only way i can receive my yahoo emails using the
plugin.

Another thing i have seen is that the plugin fails when the
advertisement is not working in the website of yahoo mail. Is there
any relation? Because of this may the plugin can't retrieve the page
and because of that can't retrieve the emails?

I can say another thing... Is that i use the FreePOPs
(www.freepops.org) too, and with that i have no problem in retrieving
the emails. It never fails.

But i would really prefer the plugin of Thunderbird.

I will continue to test it to help finding a solution.
