To use thr IMAP option with a Hotmail account required that the account was enabled to use Microsoft's WebDav protocol. Microsoft has replaced WebDav with its never and proprietary DeltaSync protocol and all support for WebDav was terminated by Microsoft as of 1September. There is no longer support for IMAP in the Hotmail add-on.
