If you download the webmail to your hard disk as instructed in #1 then that is where TB needs pointed to install the file. If just click on the download link normally then your browser will try to install the file in itself that is why you must use the "Save Link As" and download the file to your hard drive.
After opening TB goto tools, open addons, click on install to install the file. Say you downloaded the file to C:\downloads then you need to select C: \downloads\web-mail-1.3.3.xpi . If the file is a zipped file then it will need to unzippped. It is just like opening document when you are doing word processing. You don't even need Netscape Navigator running when when installing the local file. After installing the extension restart TB for it to become active. You will also need the hotmail and yahoo webmail extensions too if you are going access these accounts. They need to install seperate and after the webmail extension install; restarting TB after each install.
