Yes you can. You can have any number of e-mail accounts in Thunderbird. Nothing to do with these extensions which have no effect on account set up and use - this is quite simply a "how to use Thunderbird" question.
However, there are differences in the default appearance of accounts between Thunderbird 2 and the recently available Thunderbird 3 and you would be best advised to address your question to the main Thunderbird support forum.
