Alan,

I didn't think the anti virus was causing the problem other than being
heavily used because the of the extensions accessing the local files.
What I have tried is to set the Avguard to scan only when writing to
disk. It appears that there is excessive amount file reading going on
as problem goes away. I don't feel comfortable with virus guard being
partially disable to resolve the problem. With scan only when writing
can leave me open to importing a virus

Season emails. That might be the case if I actually had new emails to
download; this is happening when there is no new emails. I took a look
at the task manger process usage screen I am using 100% Cpu usage at
these times but it is TB + Hotmail that is causing my Avguard to use
98+% of the resources at this times when in read/write scan mode. This
why I thought there was some kind of small problem with the webmail
and hotmail extension combo way of handling the email processing. I
glad that I don't have large number of emails to download from hotmail
as it is no telling how long it would take.

I received my business email thru the hotmail server; hence, no
seasonal junk emails. Most of the season email you mention is now
coming thru my gmail account as I have most of personal email going
there now.

I thru webmail site and deleted all of the 76 emails except for 10 and
give it few days try when the read/write on and see what happens.

I think with all the problems MS hotmail group is causing me it
probably best if I just setup second Gmail account for my business
contacts and just get rid of the MS stuff.
