Ralph Stokes and Eugene, you are both posting in this thread some information that is not correct.
The Webmail add-ons do not, repeat not, provide an IMAP connection. They do provide POP3 services for folders other than the Inbox - very, very different from what IMAP really does. While corporate firewalls may prevent POP3 connections domestic firewalls never do. Removing "POP3 protection" has no meaning in connecting to a POP3 server in the real world. The POP3 port is not on your system ever ... you are connecting to the POP3 port of the mail server out in the network.
