Around the same time this Hotmail Messed Up, I Had 2 incident (I was using Firefox latest, and a couple of weeks ago upgraded Kaspersky 2010 Internet suite, as fresh install)

First item:-
Moved 4 of 5 important Emails WRONGLY placed in Spam/Junk Folder, on the sight, and, as reported in a previous email, I marked 4 emails then press action, and mark as NOT SPAM/JUNK, and wait for it to move the 4 items to INbox where should be. I THEN GOT A SERVER ERROR SAYING UNABLE TO EXECUTE, THIS IS A SERVER ERROR. THIS IS NOT AN ERROR ON YOUR PC.
I Tried several times, to no Success.
I Then Tried One Junk'Spam Email at a Time.
This Time All but One email in the moved from the Junk/spam, Moved successfully but One REmained and that still gave same error, SERVER ERROR SAYING UNABLE TO EXECUTE, THIS IS A SERVER ERROR. THIS IS NOT AN ERROR ON YOUR PC I Tried a couple of more times then gave up, and restarted Firefox, and the Junk/spam had gone from the junk but I panic as I am not sure if one email is in the inbox, or lost. I Also, when getting downloading 1-39, and worried if i caused it, moved a couple of emails to deleted box on Hotmail to see if helped.

Second Time, on the 30th July, I went to send a Birthday ecard from my free MSN free Cards, to send to her in the US, but was unable to.
I Did a google search for it, it, hit the link, and Got something like
UNABLE TO VIEW PAGE, SERVER ERROR.
I tried loads of times, even with Kaspersky turned off, and following links from within MSN homepage.
as soon as got to page said SERVER.

Thanks for trying to sort it. :-)

If it's an MS server issue, it's down to MS to fix it. I don't know if there's any connection, but yesterday my daughter couldn't open mails in her Hotmail account using Firefox, but she could open them in Internet Explorer. Could be that MS are using non standard code in the web pages that locks out users of other brands of software?

Hi Folks

Same symptoms as the above post.

When accessing hotmail, it tries to down load 38 messages (about half
were new) and the neagtive vibes on RETR command displays.

If its a MS server issue -- is there a workaround for this type of
situation or should we sit tight for the final fix ?

I get negative vibes with 29b10. No mail is downloaded for me at all.
No first page and no other page, just negative vibes on RETR.

29b10 and 9b1 is working - only minor thing is it seems to be only
grabbing the first page of unread mail each time it goes through a
download cycle. But it is removing the unread state so the next cycle
grabs the next page of unread mail.
I can live with that for now until a non-beta version comes out.

If it's a Hotmail server issue - what's the solution?

He has already stated that the RETR issue is an issue with hotmail's
servers - not a webmail issue.

Hi Webmail Author
Same issue here -- installed the latest 29b10 patch with the RETR
command still failing.
