That is because the method you used has stopped using the Webmail add-
ons.  When you create a Hotmail account in Thunderbird now it uses the
freely available POP and SMTP servers for Hotmail.  These work just
fine if all you need is mail from your Inbox - this is all you can get
with the POP server.  You cannot download any mail from the Junk or
any other custom folder on Hotmail as you can with the Webmail add-
ons.
