Anybody else still having issues with mail.com?

The v.1.2.17 of the AOL add-on had fixed the freezing issues I
experienced (along with everybody else apparently).
However since around this weekend or so, my 2 mail.com accounts are
again inaccessible; this time TB throws the "Comms error" with the
"sending of password did not succeed" message.

The Error Console shows only these two lines:

"my.screenname.aol.com : server does not support RFC 5746, see
CVE-2009-3555
AOLPOP.js: loginHandler : Exception : TypeError.
Error message: szResponse.match(kPatternSettings) is null
304".

Having logged to the mail.com site I could see that they entirely
changed the appearance of the site (upgraded to the new interface) so
I'm assuming that this is the probable culprit.
I'm just puzzled that no one else complained so far, so I'm thinking
that maybe there's a quick workaround that eludes me.

If any of you guys encountered and solved this, please let the rest of
us know.
Else it seems I'll have to nag the Webmail author again for some
help. :)

Thanks.
