 Same problem here, many mailservers do not pass 7bit encoded utf8 text
 correctly, i am able to provide testdata, generated mails and recieved
 data...

 it would be neccessay for the email component to detect if the mailserver
 is supporting 8bitmime, after issueing a EHLO command, but it is not
 possible to detect that when not using smtp.

 i would suggest to encode the text parts of the email (text and html)
 either qouted-printable or even base64, if app.encoding or the charset
 setting of the mailcomponent denotes a 8bit charater set (and/or the
 mailserver does not support 8bitmime or is not detectable).

 it would be nice if the user can control encoding used for text-parts
 easily.
