Well, that's not quite correct; there are a number of server-side solutions:
     http://www.tiddlywiki.org/wiki/Editing_and_Saving_over_HTTP
     http://www.tiddlywiki.org/wiki/Server-Side_Implementations

The UploadPlugin (which is what Tiddlyspot uses) is probably the 
simplest solution though.
