In the past I've found that the linux versions of Opera were somewhat
orphaned compared to their main-line siblings.

I tried putting the jar file in the directory with the TW file, but
after clicking "save" and waiting a good long time, I got a message
that the file had not saved.

Then I tried downloading a fresh "empty" with a jar file. When that TW
loads, it gives me a warning about Java security, which I OK. And ...
I can save the file.

Forgot to mention that when I load my working TW, I always get a
message:

  [Error:
name: ReferenceError
message: Statement on line 67: Undefined variable: ActiveXObject
stacktrace: n/a; see  opera:config#UserPrefs|Exceptions Have
Stacktrace
]

I'm guessing that because of this error, Java is unable to do its
security check, and so my working TW is unable to save. I suppose I
could spend days trying to see which of too-many-plugins is causing
the problem.
