It seems very odd indeed Iain. Your scientific approach is good but you must never change more than one thing at a time. You seem to have isolated it to the SiteTitle but I am still skeptical. I still find it hard to believe that it is really the TiddlyWiki. Although you never know.... Also if you would like to zip it up and send it to me in the 'sitetitle change prevents printing state' I'll see if I can duplicate what you are seeing.
