Thanks Bob, that sounds like the kind of thing I want to do. My first reaction (apart from "this could work") is that I'm wondering about Bob (I'm yet to google it) and how it compares with pure TW which seems to have as one of its features that it just runs from one file. I'm not sure I understand what newTiddler.sh does. is it not true that "you can make a new tid file however you choose" but that you need some help from this script? I'm not sure I understand what you are saying here.
