Hi Jared Sorry for the delay in responding. So, let me try to interpret what you are saying.
You say you updated Stroll. Did you do this by dragging the tag pill $:/giffmex/stroll from one of the tabs at https://giffmex.org/stroll/stroll.html? Then you say that for some reason you also 'imported the bigedittoolbar shortcut' - does this mean you dragged the tag pill $:/giffmex/bigeditarea from the Add Stroll to your TW tab at https://giffmex.org/stroll/stroll.html? (by the way, this step would not be necessary since all these tiddlers are also tagged $:/giffmex/stroll) I did these steps, and cannot reproduce what you are seeing. If you can explain more precisely what steps you took that produced this result, I might be able to help. My other thought is that since the error you are getting has to do with the sample popup state, perhaps you have used that popup state for something else, and the two are conflicting? You might try doing a search for samplepopupstate in both the standard and system tabs of advanced search (the magnifying glass icon next to the main search bar) to see what other tiddlers come up.
