Biz-arre! I tried it here and got the same result. Maybe in developer mode you're seeing some kind of preview in the main browser window, that's parsed by developer tools before being output to IE? That might gibe with the idea that there's some quirk in Trident that's not supposed to be there — and that's not present in the developer previewer. (Or I could be making up explanations out of whole cloth that simply aren't true! :P ) On Friday, February 22, 2013 4:02:22 PM UTC-5, Tobias Beer wrote: By the way, Scott, > > you probably already know... you can change the ie rendering mode to > another version also for local files within the developer tools; top-right > in the menu. > Actually, it hadn't occurred to me until Jeremy mentioned opening the developer pane! Full disclosure: While I've been using IE for testing and to confirm the quirk, I first noticed it in my TiddlyWiki browser of choice — an older version of Maxthon <http://www.maxthon.com/> (specifically, 2.5.18.1000<http://www.majorgeeks.com/Maxthon_2_d1167.html>). The 2.x versions of the browser rely on IE's Trident engine for rendering. More recent versions (3.x and 4.x) come with their own version of Trident as well as Webkit (the default rendering engine; you can switch between the two engines on demand) — but they're not as TiddlyWiki-friendly as the 2.x versions.[*] Just as a lot of TW users rely on an older version of Firefox, I keep an older version of Maxthon (the last of the 2.x series) around for TiddlyWiking. [*] In current versions of Maxthon, IncludePlugin (which I rely on pretty heavily) doesn't work in the browser's "Ultra" (Webkit) mode, and a textarea rendering bug (of the browser) makes editing a pain in "Retro" (Trident) mode. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
