Yes, packaging this as a plugin is next on my learning list. At the moment,

There are instructions for building plugins in the browser here:

However, if you want to contribute to the TW5 core you'll need to work with
Node.js so that you can run the full test suite (see test.sh/test.cmd).

I think I need to create a "HelloWorld" plugin repo.
