Hi everyone, This message is a call to volunteers who would like to contribute to the TW5 doc translation into French.
Our aim is to translate and adapt the main TW5 docs from tiddlywiki.com into French and publish them under the tiddlywiki.com/languages/fr-FR edition (other variants welcome!). You can see the latest snapshot of our current state of effort at http://fr-edition.tiddlyspot.com. This wiki contains not only the translated documentation that have been published already, but also tiddlers from tiddlywiki.com that haven't been translated yet, plus those that are in the middle <http://fr-edition.tiddlyspot.com/#:[tag[en%20cours]sort[modified]]> of being translated. Tiddlers in English that are *not* tagged [[en cours]] are available for you to translate. If you decide to translate one or more of these tiddlers, please bespeak them so that the same tiddler is not translated twice. Then, choose one of these 3 ways to contribute your work to the project: 1. If you master command line interfaces, learn how to use the Node.js mode of TiddlyWiki, and while you are at it, learn how to commit your translated tiddlers with Git and to pull requests on GitHub. These are useful things to know by the way. 2. You can also push your translated tiddlers onto a TiddlySpot site so that a maintainer (myself for a start!) can pick them and request a pull on GitHub for you. See http://tiddlywiki.com/#:[[Saving%20on%20TiddlySpot]] for details on how to publish a TiddlyWiki on TiddlySpot. 3. Finally, from your local copy of TiddlyWiki, you can export your translated tiddlers as individual .tid files or as a JSON file, using one of the export buttons that appeared with the 5.1.5 release, and send it by email to me so that I can request a GitHub pull for you. As of today, fr-FR translated tiddlers have been mostly provided by Julie Strzelecki or Xavier Cazin, with valuable comments from Jeremy Ruston, Mario Pietsch, Bram Chen and Tobias Beer. They amount to roughly 36% of the material in tiddlywiki.com/ (nothing from tiddlywiki.com/dev has been translated yet). We encourage you to comment, add material, and provide suggestions to help us reach 100% and stay there as more official documentation tiddlers get added or improved in tiddlywiki.com. Thank you in advance for your help, Santé ! Xavier. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "TiddlyWiki" group.
