Thanks for taking the time. The short answer is that I don't think that works either, but it doesn't fail in the same way. I think there could be a problem with http/https from github to my local couch. The other issue - of the page constantly reloading can be seen (maybe?) on this one https://didaxy.neocities.org/tiddlywiki/noteselftasks.html.
In trying to debug this, it would be very helpful if I could sign out of the couch database, but instead it's like some kind of witchcraft - it keeps signing me back in. I thought I'd outsmarted it by moving the couchDB to a different port but then it logged back in anyway. How is it doing that?
