Would you mind sharing the code snipt that edits the note field as a 
multi-line text field. I would assume it was using the edittextWidget ?

In return see my attached tiddler bundle that creates notes using a 
subTiddler called tiddlername/notes and while it is not currently open to a 
tiddler title change it is easy to create a filter to export all notes 
along with a set of tiddlers.

Place  <<tiddler-notes>> in any tiddler or within a tiddler tagged for the 
view template
