G'day,

Currently, I'm running TightVNC server on Windows XP computers and the
only vncviewer I can use to connect is ssvnc [1]. The reason is the
following option in xorg.conf (I use it because I have limited video
card memory):

 Section "ServerFlags"
    Option "Pixmap" "24"
 EndSection

The servers have 32 bits per pixel and the viewers report the following:

* tightvnc vncviewer 1.3.10:
  Can't cope with 24 bits-per-pixel.  Sorry.

* tigervnc vncviewer 0.0.91:
  main: Error: couldn't find suitable pixmap format

* ssnvc vncviewer 1.0.23:
  Warning: 24 bits-per-pixel may have problems...
  Warning: for 24bpp enabling -bgr565 -- Don't use FullColor!
  Using default colormap and translating from BGR565 (65536 colors). Pixel
format:
    16 bits per pixel. Least significant byte first in each pixel.
    True colour: max red 31 green 63 blue 31, shift red 11 green 5 blue 0

Are there any plans to support 24bpp in tigervnc?
