I am using TigerVNC 1.1.90 Mac OSX (10.7.3) to connect to a linux machine
(LinuxMint 12 KDE) on my LAN running linux generic kernel 3.0.0.16.
Sometimes when I connect, the keyboard seems to have the Caps Lock
engaged--all characters typed are uppercase. However, this is not
consistent. It seems to be "random", but I have not isolated the variables
that trigger this behavior. I have seen previous posts indicating that
this was a bug that had been fixed, but perhaps it has cropped up again.

It could be relevant that I am using an IBM Model M keyboard connected via
a usb switch, and I have remapped the Caps Lock key to be the Apple
Command key. This has worked out extremely well for most applications.

Otherwise, TigerVNC is excellent. I get good speed and image quality even
at full screen on 2 monitors at 1920x1200, and I can remotely run
graphics-intensive applications on the linux machine, such as YASARA for
molecular modeling.

Thanks.
