Another (probably crazy) thought came to mind... I wonder if the GNURadio can be used to demodulate signals at L1 either directly or through a downconverter/LNB.. We could make a software defined GPS receiver - a GNUGPS! Twiddling the software could make it support Galileo..or Glonass.. or the new civilian GPS frequencies.
