1) Increase the cutoff frequency of any low pass filter used. 2) With a discrete zener reference is to use a very low zener current. 3) Use a reverse biased base emitter junction of a small signal transistor as a zener at low current (don't reuse the transistor for small signal applications afterwards). 4) Inject noise from say a pseudorandom noise generator via a resistive network in the EC line.
