Whether or not the rate of atomic clocks may be affected by a solar eclipse is a controversial matter. NATURE magazine published the article "Chronometry: Effect of the 1999 solar eclipse on atomic clocks", see:

Another thing to test is whether or not, around eclipse time, crystal oscillators are more prone to jump. Good luck.
