Don't use the PC power supply... get a cheap, old-ish laptop that supports optical drives with a 12V motor. Wire the Tbolt into the optical drive/rs-232 power supplies (remove the optical drive, filter power signals to taste). Voila... battery backed up Tbolt with permanent monitor screen.
If your lap top is old and clunky enough, you may even be able to shoehorn the Tbolt into the laptop case.
