After about mid 2004 the DS1620 thermometer chip was the "E" version that displays the temperature in steps of maybe 1 degree. I've replaced a few of these chips with "C" versions that correct the graphing problem and make the T-bolts work properly. Unless you want to find and replace the surface mount chip yourself, make sure any late model (after mid 2004) t-bolt has a "D" or a "C" chip, not an "E".
The older T-bolts before ~2001 had Version 2.2 firmware which I understand isn't as much of a problem as the Piezo brand oscillator they had. Others have commented this oscillator isn't that great. The new T-bolts have Trimble branded oscillators which are much better. -Arthur _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
