The original screws are about 15.5 mm long and are threaded on the first 6 mm approx. The shank is thinner the rest of the way, approx. 3mm, so you can undo those screws and not loose them. I beleive they are called "captive screws". If your base is threaded for M4, you may want to drill the holes out to 4 mm to eliminate the threads. -- FL

That's what's on the pipe mount, and those are too big. Is this thing metric? I don't have access to a lot of hardware right now to check.
