What they do does not make any difference to us, what is important how often we have to change the tuning word to meet our requirements, and if we dither it will be an addition or subtraction from the center value. With out dither it would be 4 times a month on my unit. That will allow a very large filter TC. Bert Kehren In a message dated 1/30/2012 1:40:57 P.M. My guess about why you don't see aging or so little of it is that maybe some engineer at FEI already did the test and added firmware in the FE5680 to correct the output for estimated aging. So what you are measuring is the difference between true aging and the unit's internal aging model. Trimble does something like this in holdover mode, the controller compensates for the OCXO's estimated aging Chris Albertson Redondo Beach, California _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there. _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
