Matjaz is the man. Amateur pilots might build their own airplanes, but only the hardcore ones build their own avionics! Not many hams have built and described as many interesting projects as he has, but his work never got the exposure it deserved because few people could find it (or read it), since so much of it was published in Soviet-era Yugoslavia. I've had his archive site bookmarked for a long time ( http://s53mv.s56g.net/archive/archive.html ) even though I can't read most of it. Andrew Holme's homebrew GPS page is, if anything, even more approachable: http://www.holmea.demon.co.uk/GPS/Main.htm It's been mentioned before as well, but is worth keeping in mind if anyone really has ambitions towards building their own L1 receiver. -- john, KE5FX _______________________________________________ time-nuts mailing list -- time-nuts@febo.com To unsubscribe, go to https://www.febo.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/time-nuts and follow the instructions there.
