Hi

The TI ADS1271/4/8 might make a nice alternative to a sound card. They have a 
bit better DC performance than a lot of the sound card chip sets. There's an 
EVM available for them, but I haven't really looked much at it. The nice thing 
is that you could get 4/8 channels of simultaneous samples. Nice for doing 
three (or 4 or 8) corner hat sort of stuff.
