That is _exactly_ why you should use a vectorformat like SVG: Raster
format is a waste of bytes for line graphics.

Depends. Sometimes there is a lot of data that lines up on the same row of pixels and take forever to load with close to none progress.

There is no "right" here. Just different extremes.
