Brent You must be ex-Navy. We did the same thing with a final coat of liquid rubber. 3M scotch coat. On the ships I could open a connector that had been to sea for years and the connectors were clean as they were when installed. I still use this approach. Very solid and as I mentioned earlier in the thread I use the F connectors for lots of things.
