I have gotten a nice offer on a used Agilent E4432B (No Opts) I have 10Mhz so i don't need the OCXO , but i think it's Tnut-Grade equipment.
I can get it for approx 1500 US$ delivered on my doorstep (EU) , this is not a bad price. Considering a US buy would be + shipping & 25% VAT on unit+ship. I'm a bit worried about the number of attenuator cycles , is that thing on a ESG D (Digital) , unbreakable ? I just got some picts that i have uploaded here http://tinyurl.com/pxsdsu8 It has been put to good use ... On time : 45918 hr's , 658 pwr-cycles , and 1701932 attenuator cycles. But NO reverse pwr trips ..... The Spect analyser picts i don't think i can fully decode. I suppose (hope) the attenuator is electronic , and "unbreakable" in the ESG D series .... Hope someone can give some advice , especially if the attenuator cycles is something to be worried about.
