I was thinking the Varactor had be tied to the crystal, which only makes sense. So, the bottom line is the EFC inputs are probably susceptible to HF noise... The bottom line is, it's worth while ensuring the EFC amp and EFC signal are as clean as possible. Good stuff to know! Thanks!
