The stock ntpd has worked with HP Smartclocks for about two decades now. It is the "GPS_HP" module. ntpd is not point-and-drool "watch the satellites move individually in real time via graphics" software. ntpd is "turn it on and leave it" software. Logging via standard ntpd logfiles can produce some good long-term EFC statistics but again it is not point-and-drool stuff.
