Pete, That is a VERY early unit.
Those early ones did not have the TED device. I have only seen one unit with an earlier SN! Ohm the lamp oven windings to the threaded post protruding from the end of the optical unit. (should be open) Also check across the oven winding (50 Ohm) If the windings are toast (literally!) I can give you my instructions for removing and rewinding the oven. I also have spare oscillators and some other assys.
