That it's less sensitive than the TomTom doesn't make it faulty,
although perhaps unsuitable for you. I think David Taylor commented that
his is less sensitive than other kit he has and has had to be mounted
outside. One of the things that has so far put me off trying GPS is that
I've assumed I need to get it outside and preferably up high. I
potentially have the same issue as David in that all my windows are
modern low emission ones. That and the price, but having found a UK
supplier for under GBP70 I'm tempted.
Since GPS satellites are not geostationary, does it matter which bit of
the sky the unit can see? My office window faces north, which clearly
would be no good for geostationary satellites from the northern
hemisphere, but how about GPS?
