I have not another choices. Buying 5Hz from local dealer is cheaper
(and faster) for me that ordering LVC from US, for example.

How about a UK dealer?

Can you make is cheaper by buying more than one from the US?

I would advise against the 5Hz version unless someone here is 100% sure that it works.

BTW, which FreeBSD version is preferable?
Great howto "Adding a FreeBSD NTP server based on an GPS 18 LVC
device" ( http://www.david-taylor.myby.co.uk/ntp/FreeBSD-GPS-PPS.htm
) advise version 5.4, but 5.5 and 6.1 are available too.
Is there any big difference? Sorry, I came from Linux-world.

Arthur, I used 5.4 simply because others had used it and found it worked correctly. I don't "advise" it, just report that it worked for me. I have heard that V6 has problems with NTP, but I can't point to any references right now. I'm pleased you found the write-up helpful - it was my way of saying thanks to all those who helped me.

Cheers,
David
