It doesn't seems to have been resolved. I had a spike last evening with
somewhere around 400 requests/s. My new server (2.6 GHz 512 MByte RAM)
stood up to the challenge but tcpdump took around 50% of the CPU. This,
together with the load of the monitoring scripts, increased the jitter
from the SHM 1 pps pulses from the GPS. Not very alarming but a bit
annoying.
