One great advantage of the ADSL modems is that (at least for ADSL1 in the US on providers using them in "bridge mode") the modems are mostly interchangeable, requires little or no configuration and can be had for cheap on eBay. I usually have a spare or two in the closet to replace dead modems on our various DSL connections in a hurry. Oh boy, we're getting off-topic! Really, someone needs to start a list of the recommended router configurations, routers that'll never work, etc. - ask -- http://develooper.com/ - http://askask.com/ _______________________________________________ timekeepers mailing list [email protected] https://fortytwo.ch/mailman/cgi-bin/listinfo/timekeepers
