Darren is correct. 12 hours (well, 11:52 if you want to be picky about
it) is the minimum, but I find I get better plots from 24hrs. I
haven't been sufficiently motivated to replicate what ublox's u-Center
does, but those are some pretty sky plots.

Use the "gpspipe" tool that comes with the gpsd distribution to grab

./gpspipe -w gpsdserver.example.com | grep GPSD,Y > satellites.txt
php skyview.php satellites.txt satellites.png
