As a variation of this theme, then one of my long term plans is to get
a /24 or a /23 from somewhere and assign all the IPs to one or two
servers. Setup tracking (ala what Nelson has, but per server IP) and
then make the DNS system use one of these IPs once per 1000 requests
for each zone (or some such). Viola - a reasonable estimate of the
traffic each pool zone sends to the pool.
Anyone want to help write a little software to do graphs in this manner?
