Yeah - that's why nobody is using IPv6 - basically.

It was an incredibly poorly thought out transition plan.

I don't agree with everything in it, but djb has a pretty good

One thing that could help would be having ntpd and openntpd have an  
intelligent fallback to the A record when it gets both and the AAAA  
record didn't work.  Maybe they do already, but probably not ...
