yeah; it's pretty dumb.  http://www.pool.ntp.org/ gets hundreds of thousands of 
requests a day from people trying to use the 'Date' header to set their time.

(Of course hundreds of thousands is less than what we as a group get via the 
NTP protocol in the time it took you to read this mail).
