Hi,

Consider a MIDI file with the following tracks:

  1: Chords (Percussive Organ)
  2: Lead melody (Bright Piano)
  3: Alternate melody (Bright Piano)
 10: Rhythm (Drums)

>From this, I want to produce two sound files, one for the lead and one
for the alternative vocals.

For the lead vocals, -Q3 will do the job.
Likewise, I can use -Q2 for the alternative version. However, in the
alternative version, I would like to include a low-volume lead voice
as well.

So, in the alternative version, I want tracks 1, 3 and 10 at 100%
volume, and track 2 at, say, 40% volume.

I'm pretty much convinced there's a way that Timidity can do this, but
I have not been able to find it.

Thanks for your suggestions,

-- Johan
